HyerTek Appoints Muthu Vellayan as Chief Technology Officer

ROCKVILLE, Md. — August 17, 2026 — HyerTek today announced that Muthu Vellayan has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), expanding its executive leadership team as HyerTek accelerates the development and delivery of artificial intelligence and enterprise modernization solutions.

As CTO, Vellayan will lead HyerTek’s technology vision and strategy, with a focus on artificial intelligence, enterprise application transformation, and strategic technical advisory initiatives. He will work across HyerTek’s delivery, growth, and leadership teams to strengthen the company’s technical capabilities, guide solution development, and help customers translate emerging technologies into secure, practical solutions that deliver measurable mission and business outcomes.

Vellayan brings extensive experience delivering complex technology initiatives across defense, federal, and commercial organizations. Before joining HyerTek, he led artificial intelligence and machine learning transformation initiatives at Peraton in support of U.S. Strategic Command. His work included identifying and prioritizing more than 100 mission-aligned AI use cases, establishing cross-functional implementation teams, advancing AI governance, and leading programs designed to strengthen AI and data proficiency across the organization.

Previously, Vellayan served as a senior data scientist supporting the U.S. Space Force and held technology leadership roles at DXC Technology and Accenture Federal Services. Throughout his career, he has led enterprise cloud, DevSecOps, application modernization, product development, and large-scale transformation initiatives. His technical expertise spans generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, data science, secure cloud environments, DevSecOps, and emerging large language model architectures.
